Frequently Asked Questions

General

Why choose Himelick Media over other photographers?

Himelick Media is built on a commitment to quality over speed. Each property is approached with an architectural mindset, using professional lighting and high end techniques to accurately and beautifully represent the space. The goal is not to rush through a shoot, but to deliver a final product that stands out and is truly worth showcasing.

Why should I invest in professional real estate photography?

First impressions matter. Professional photography ensures your property is presented at its absolute best, capturing attention immediately and highlighting its strongest features. High quality imagery not only elevates your listing but also communicates professionalism and value, helping prevent potential buyers from scrolling past.

Booking and Scheduling

What is your standard service area?

Himelick Media is based in Frankfort, Indiana and services all of Central Indiana, including Indianapolis, Lafayette, and surrounding areas. Travel is included within a 40-mile radius measured from Frankfort. Beyond that radius, additional mileage is $1 per mile for the complete round trip. Unusually distant properties may require custom travel pricing.

How far in advance should I book?

The earlier the better. While next day availability is not guaranteed, booking two to three business days in advance significantly increases scheduling flexibility. True-Twilight Photography sessions and specialty services require additional planning and should be scheduled as early as possible.

How do I book a photo shoot?

You can schedule a shoot or request a custom quote through the booking or contact page on the website.

What days and times are you available for shoots?

Standard availability is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekend appointments are subject to availability and may require a separately quoted surcharge. Same-Day Rush Scheduling is also subject to availability; it is a separate $100 service and does not change the delivery timeline.

Do I need to be present during the shoot?

No. As long as the property is prepared and accessible, the shoot can be completed independently. You are welcome to be present if you prefer.

Preparation

What should I do to prepare my property for a photo shoot?

Please refer to the detailed Preparation Guide for full instructions on how to get your property ready.

Will you move items or stage the home?

Minor adjustments will be made as needed, but large items will not be moved. As a general rule, if it requires significant effort or both hands, it should be handled prior to the shoot.

What happens if the home is not ready when you arrive?

If the property is not ready, the shoot will either proceed as is or be rescheduled. A Return Trip or Client-Requested Reshoot begins at $100 when the property was not ready, an area was inaccessible, requested features were unavailable, or the client requests new coverage. There is no return-trip charge for correcting a verified Himelick Media photography or editing error. Please refer to the services page for details.

Shoot Details

How long does a typical photo shoot take?

Timing depends on property size, readiness, and the selected coverage. Larger estates, detailed architectural work, twilight sessions, and complex properties require more time and may be custom scoped before the appointment.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Weather related rescheduling is always accommodated at no additional cost. While certain conditions can be worked around in editing, the best results are achieved with good lighting and favorable weather.

Packages and Pricing

What is included in each package?

Each package is designed to give you flexible options based on your needs. Full details and customization options can be found on the Services page.

How does property size affect pricing?

Published listing tiers cover properties up to 2,500, 2,501 to 3,500, 3,501 to 4,500, 4,501 to 5,500, and 5,501 to 7,000 square feet. Properties above 7,000 square feet require a custom quote. A large or unusually complex estate may require custom pricing regardless of its stated square footage.

Are interior-only and exterior-only photography priced differently?

Yes. Interior-Only Photography scales with the number, size, and complexity of the interior spaces being photographed. Exterior-Only Photography uses a separate price structure. Properties with extensive acreage, multiple buildings, pools, guest houses, large outdoor amenities, or unusually extensive grounds may require a custom exterior quote regardless of the home's square footage.

Are there any additional fees I should be aware of?

All potential upcharges including travel, reshoots, expedited delivery, and additional edits are outlined on the Services page.

Are Same-Day Rush Scheduling and Same-Night Delivery the same service?

No. Same-Day Rush Scheduling is a $100 charge for arranging an appointment on the same day, subject to availability. Same-Night Delivery is a separate$100 charge for expedited photo delivery on the night of the appointment.

How do quantity-based image add-ons work?

Day-to-Dusk Editing is available as one image for $45 or three images for$120. Virtual Staging is available as one image for $35, three images for$95, or five images for $150. The selected quantity and price are shown in the booking summary before a request is sent.

Photos and Editing

How many photos will I receive?

The number of photos varies depending on the size and needs of the property. Most listings receive between 25 and 70 professionally edited images.

Can I choose which photos are used in my listing?

Yes. You will receive the full gallery of edited images and can select which ones to use.

Do you provide raw photos?

No. Final delivered images are fully edited to meet professional standards and represent the quality of the brand.

Can I request edits or revisions?

Yes. Additional edits can be requested, though fees may apply depending on the scope.

Twilight, Floor Plans, and Video

What is the difference between True-Twilight Photography and Day-to-Dusk Editing?

True-Twilight Photography is photographed on location during the proper twilight window and requires a separate or extended appointment. Day-to-Dusk Editing transforms a daytime exterior photograph into a dusk-style image. They are different services and are priced separately.

How are floor plans priced?

2D Floor Plan pricing follows the property-size tiers shown on the Services page. The existing 3D Floor Plan service is $185. Properties above 7,000 square feet require a custom quote.

Do you offer drone photography?

Yes. Drone Photography is $125 when added to an existing photography appointment. A standalone drone appointment is $175. Availability remains subject to location, airspace, and safe flying conditions.

Do you offer video services?

Yes, as a supplementary option. Himelick Media specializes primarily in photography. Video is intentionally simple and property-focused: horizontal walkthrough footage, clean cuts, restrained transitions, and licensed music. It does not include agent appearances, spoken presentations, vertical reels, social-media packages, or elaborate cinematic production.

Delivery and Payment

How soon after the shoot will I receive my photos and videos?

Photos are typically delivered within two to three business days, often sooner. Video delivery typically takes two to four business days due to additional processing time. Same-Night Delivery is a separate expedited photo-delivery option and does not mean same-day appointment scheduling.

When will I receive the invoice and when is payment due?

Invoices are sent upon delivery. Payment is required before images can be downloaded.

Policies

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?

Rescheduling is flexible when handled in advance. Late cancellations or next day changes may incur a fee. Weather related rescheduling is always accommodated. Please refer to the Services page for full details.

Usage and Rights

How can I use the photos?

Standard real estate listing pricing includes listing-marketing usage for the listing client. Usage by another business or for builder, designer, architectural, advertising, portfolio, publication, or third-party vendor promotion may require separate licensing.

Do you offer licensing for builders, designers, or commercial use?

Yes. Builder, designer, architectural, developer, commercial, and third-party promotional licensing is quoted according to the intended usage and the number of businesses using the images.

Discounts

Do you offer discounts for multiple properties or regular bookings?

Discounts may be available for repeat clients, referrals, or during promotional periods. Referral incentives are also offered for bringing in new clients.
